Mobile Computing with Job3 Mobile

We are pleased to announce the release of the new “Job3 Mobile” the CRM for mobile devices such as PDAs and Smart-phones equipped with Windows Mobile, Pocket PC and Symbian. The system automatically recognizes the used device and then the web address remains unchanged from the one of the standard CRM. The implemented features are similar in large part to those of Job3 CRM even though the layout was revised to allow viewing on small screens and to take advantage of the navigation systems used in mobile devices. Very comfortable are some "features" that allow, for example, to initiate a phone call or send an e-mail directly from CRM Mobile

We're testing the application on different Smart-phones and we are also evaluating the business proposals of the major players in the phone market to offer an all-in-one package that includes: CRM, Telephony, Mail, Internet surfing and supply of phone. We are currently trying the new Samsung SGH-I600 (cost: 399 euro including VAT) with operating system Windows Mobile 5. (See the manufacturer's website: http://it.samsungmobile.com/wcms/products/phones/phonedata/features/IT-SGH-I600.jsp )

One of the most interesting features of the devices running Windows Mobile is the service or Real Time E-mail system for sending and receiving e-mail messages very similar to Push Mail that made the mobile phones Blackberry very famous. The system is capable of receiving mail directly into the phone like an SMS. Other interesting features are the use of UMTS evolved (called HSDPA) that allows Internet connections to broadband at a very high speed. I600 is also equipped with Wi-Fi interface to allow connection to wireless networks and then could replace the cordless when the user is in the company.

Among the available applications there is the events calendar (Outlook synchronized), Windows Media Player and Picsel Viewer to visualize PDF documents and Office documents. To be paid (or free as in the case of Skype) it can also be installed third-parties software such as Tom Tom Navigator and Route66.

Our goal is not only to offer a new interface for CRM but to provide tools and services able to work in full mobility, making the company communications with remote users more efficient and timely.
